Annual Tax Reporting Forms
The General Board will mail the following 2012 Internal Revenue Service (IRS) tax reporting forms to participants no later than January 31, 2013:
- Form 1099-R: Distributions from Pensions, Annuities, Retirement or Profit-Sharing Plans, IRAs, Insurance Contracts, etc.;
- Form 1099-MISC: Miscellaneous Income; and
- Form W-2: Wage and Tax Statement (for disability payments).
Participants who do not receive the appropriate form(s) by February 15, 2013 should contact the General Board at 1-800-851-2201, Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., Central time.
Additionally, the following tax reporting forms will be mailed to participants who are nonresident aliens or residents of Puerto Rico:
- Form 1042-S: Foreign Person’s U.S. Source Income Subject to Withholding by March 15, 2013; and
- Form 480.7C: Informative Return - Retirement Plans and Annuities by February 28, 2013.
Holiday Closing—Martin Luther King Jr. Day
The General Board will be closed Monday, January 21, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Customer service assistance will be unavailable.
Benefits Access for participants and the Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system, accessible by calling 1-800-851-2201, will be available. Participants can use either of these tools to access account information and make transactions 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The Wespath Institutional Investor Portal and Benefits Access are also available for plan sponsors, conferences and institutions.
Wire transfers and checks received by 3:00 p.m., Central time, on Friday, January 18, will be processed that day; those received after 3:00 p.m. will be processed on Tuesday, January 22.
