Vol. XIV, Issue 7
This postcard will be mailed this week to approximately 7,400 HealthFlex participants who have not yet set up an account for the new MDLIVE telemedicine service.
MDLIVE gives participants 24/7 access to board-certified physicians via phone, mobile app or secured video. It can be a helpful resource when a participant or covered family member is unable to see their own doctor for non-emergency needs, such as fever, insect bites, sore throat, earache, etc. MDLIVE also can be a cost-effective alternative to an urgent care center or emergency room visit, for non-emergency situations. Deductible and co-insurance/co-payment costs apply, based on plan benefits.
The MDLIVE Telemedicine FAQ on the HealthFlex/WebMD website provides more details. Additionally, plan sponsors can send this e-blast to participants—available on the Wespath extranet (username: extranet; password: gbop!123); browse under “HealthFlex Tools & Resources” (February 2017 toolkit).
