HealthFlex Summit—Save the Dates

Plan to attend the HealthFlex Summit—October 24-25, 2017 in Long Branch, N.J. For your travel convenience, this year’s Summit is coordinated with the Association of United Methodist Conference Pension and Benefits Officers (AUMCPBO) annual meeting. HealthFlex plan sponsors will meet prior to the AUMCPBO meeting.

Summit schedule:

The HealthFlex Summit will conclude on Wednesday prior to the start of the AUMCPBO meeting. An agenda will be provided closer to the meeting date.

A Summit registration link will be provided soon for HealthFlex plan sponsors.

Participant Mailings—Well-Being Promotions

Several postcards will be mailed to HealthFlex participants over the next few weeks to promote participation in well-being programs.

  1. Employee Assistance Program (EAP)—Participants will receive one of two postcards encouraging use of EAP services:
    • Help After the Move postcard mails to clergy who recently moved to new appointments. The EAP’s Live and Work Well Services can help clergy find services in their new community, to ease the transition to a new home and new appointment; or
    • Relief at Your Fingertips postcard mails to all other HealthFlex primary participants, and encourages them to use Live and Work Well Services for a variety of resources or emotional needs
  2. HealthQuotient (HQ)—This year’s HQ incentive period runs from Tuesday, August 1 through Saturday, September 30. A promotional postcard will be mailed to all HealthFlex participants close to the August 1 kickoff.
HQ details: Participants and covered spouses must complete the HQ during August-September to avoid paying a higher medical plan deductible in 2018 ($250 higher for individual deductible or $500 higher family deductible). Both the primary participant and covered spouse must take the HQ during the incentive timeframe to avoid the higher deductible. More information for participants is provided in the July 2017 Communications Toolkit (available in the Wespath Extranet—see access details below).
  3. Virgin Pulse—More than 7,000 eligible HealthFlex participants and covered spouses have not enrolled in the Virgin Pulse program, so they do not reap the program’s well-being benefits and incentives. A postcard targeted only to participants and covered spouses not enrolled in Virgin Pulse will be mailed soon.

Accessing the Extranet

As noted in the June 6 HealthFlex Express, plan administrators can now access the Wespath extranet through the Wespath Portal to find HealthFlex toolkits, FAQs and other helpful information.
