Incoming Rollover Mailings—Staged

This week, the General Board will begin contacting participants to encourage rollovers from outside retirement plans and IRAs into UMPIP, explain why rollovers may be advantageous and offer assistance with administrative needs during the rollover process. The mailing will be completed in stages over the next 12 months to facilitate internal staff assistance to participant information requests.

The first targeted group includes participants aged 35 to 50 years old. Participants will receive one of two letters:

1. A letter with a tear-off information request form
2. A letter combined with an Incoming Rollover form

We will track responses from each of the letter types to determine which approach will be most appropriate with future participant groups.
