2016-2020 Quadrennial Benefits Conferences
Wespath Benefits and Investments (formerly the General Board of Pension and Health Benefits) invites conference leaders and benefits personnel to attend the 2016 Quadrennial Benefits Conferences (QBCs). The QBCs will be held in two locations this fall:
- Denver, Colorado—September 29 to October 1, 2016
- Rosemont, Illinois (Chicago area)—October 13 to 15, 2016
The QBCs are designed to help equip conference boards of pensions members, benefits officers, cabinets, and other conference leaders in supporting clergy and lay workers of the Church through the UMC’s benefits programs. They provide the opportunity to:
- educate new conference board of pension members about the benefits plans and services for lay and clergy participants and the conference board’s responsibilities for those plans,
- understand the benefits-related changes made by the 2016 General Conference, and
- consider how the plans and the 2016 changes affect conference decisions and responsibilities, benefits for participants and clergy appointments.
Quadrennial Benefits Conference Registration
The QBC registration deadlines are:
- Denver—September 1
- Rosemont—September 16
Register online here. A location will be closed when it reaches sold-out capacity, so we recommend registering as soon as possible.
If you need to reserve a spot for someone yet to be identified, please register them under the name of the main conference contact with a numeral after their name—for example: Lonnie Chafin1, Lonnie Chafin2, Lonnie Chafin3, etc. You must contact Anne Green with the name of the actual registrant by September 1, 2016.
