Sustainable Investment Report Released

Wespath has released its 2015-2016 Sustainable Investment Report. Read about the ways our sustainable investment strategies help us invest in a manner that has a positive financial, environmental and social impact while aspiring to uphold the values of the UMC. Learn how investments made on behalf of participants have supported Lizeta Jose Gojamo and Rosa Biatriz Manganho, both small business owners in Mozambique who have been able to grow their businesses and provide food and education for their children and grandchildren (page 29). You can also learn about our 20-year-long history of engaging public companies, urging them to create more sustainable business practices addressing climate change-related risks (page 13).

Wespath was also recently featured in the United Methodist News Service. The story, Church investments take on climate change, looks at the many ways Wespath is addressing climate change-related risks on a local and global level.

Clay F. Lee Award—Correction

In Tuesday’s On Board Express announcement that Jerry Pinkerton won the 2017 Clay F. Lee Award, we incorrectly listed Jerry’s home conference as Central Texas. Jerry is from the Church’s North Texas Conference. We regret the error.
