2019 Comprehensive Benefit Funding Plan Webconferences

Wespath Benefits and Investments (Wespath) will host two webconferences to review the Comprehensive Benefit Funding Plan (CBFP) application that will be utilized for the 2019 funding plans. The hour-long sessions are scheduled for:

New Senior Managing Director, Benefit Plans—Martin Bauer

We are pleased to announce that Martin Bauer has joined Wespath as Senior Managing Director, Benefit Plans. In this role, Martin will lead the newly established Benefit Plans Department. This new collaborative department now includes: Retirement Services, Center for Health, Benefits Education and Actuarial Services. The new team will have continued focus on benefits and will be charged with an integrated user-friendly participant experience.

Martin has an extensive career as a pension and benefits leader, with deep technical and leadership experience. Most recently, Martin served as Senior Vice President and Global Brokerage Business Leader with Aon Hewitt. He can be reached at mbauer@wespath.org or at 1-800-269-2244, ext. 4572.

New Manager, Benefits Education—Bob Christophel

Bob Christophel has been named Manager, Benefits Education, and now reports to Martin as part of the new Benefit Plans Department.

Bob joined Wespath in November 2014 as a Benefits Educator, and since then he has been conducting benefits presentations to conferences and participants throughout the denomination. Prior to Wespath, Bob was a Retirement Education Specialist for Total Benefits Communications, where he serviced Lincoln Financial and Merrill Lynch plans. He also spent 12 years at Cultural Institutions Retirement System where he was responsible for client relationship management including benefits education.
