Reminder: Adoption Agreements Due June 29

Now that Annual Conferences have wrapped up, if you haven’t already submitted your Pre-82 adoption agreement for 2019, please do so by the end of this week. It is important to submit these agreements on time to ensure fall actuarial reports reflect the final 2019 past service rates (PSR). Please complete and submit the following document:

• Adoption Agreement Supplement One—CRSP (Pre-82 Plan), indicating the PSR and Contingent Annuitant Percentage for 2019 that were approved at annual conference, even if they have not changed from the 2018 rates

Participant Communication—Matching E-blast

Wespath will send an electronic postcard to Clergy Retirement Security Program (CRSP) participants who are currently not maximizing their CRSP match (i.e., contributing less than 1% of plan compensation to the United Methodist Personal Investment Plan). The e-blast recommends that participants update their contribution election to ensure they don’t miss out on available retirement contributions.

Moving Expense Template Available

The Excel template for tracking moving expense payments made during 2018 is now available. This resource was developed by Wespath to help annual conferences and Churches record moving expense payments prior to the release of Benefits Access Portal system updates in November.

Wespath also has updated the Moving Expense Q&A’s that were initially provided in the June 5 On Board Express. The Q&A’s will be periodically updated as new information becomes available.

The Excel spreadsheet, Q&A’s, and other resources about moving expenses, are available on the extranet.

Holiday Closing—Independence Day

Wespath will be closed on Wednesday, July 4, in observance of Independence Day. Customer service assistance will be unavailable that day.

Benefits Access for participants can be used to access account information and make transactions 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The automated phone system, accessible by calling 1-800-851-2201, is also available for participants.

The Wespath Institutional Investor Portal and Benefit Access Portal for Plan Sponsors will be available for plan sponsors, conferences and institutions.
