2019 Clergy Well-Being Survey Results

The 2019 Clergy Well-Being Survey results are in. We have created a short video detailing how clergy seem to be doing in each dimension of well-being. The video was sent to active participants via e-mail today. You can view the video here. The 100-question online survey was sent to 4,000 UMC clergy—1,240 responded, representing a cross-section of active clergy by jurisdiction, gender, race/ethnicity, age and clergy status. Multiple dimensions of well-being (physical, emotional, financial, social and spiritual) and the vocational setting were explored. These factors are found to influence our unique population and continue to be the focus of Wespath’s well-being efforts.

Participant Health Resources Available

Wespath recently produced a Nutrition Toolkit with diet and nutrition guidelines to help participants make realistic changes to the way they eat. This piece was included in today’s e-mail to active participants.

Systems Unavailable—June 30 at 8 p.m.

Wespath Portal, Benefits Access (participant and plan sponsor portals), Contribution Management, Wespath Institutional Investor Portal and the Comprehensive Benefit Funding Plan will be unavailable Sunday, June 30 at 8:00 p.m. to July 1 at 7:00 a.m., Central time, to allow for system maintenance and updates.

Wespath Holiday Closing—Independence Day

Wespath will be closed on Thursday, July 4, in observance of Independence Day. Customer Service assistance will be unavailable that day.

Benefits Access for participants can be used to access account information and complete transactions 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The automated phone system, accessible by calling 1-800-851-2201, will also be available for participants.

The Benefit Access Portal for Plan Sponsors and Wespath Institutional Investor Portal will be available to plan sponsors, conferences and institutions.
