2021 Retirement Kits

Wespath is currently mailing retirement kits to participants who intend to retire in July 2021. Sample kits will be mailed to Conference Benefit Officers on January 29, 2021.

Wespath did not mail paper applications for benefits (AFBs) or AFB guides last year to encourage retirees to complete their applications online. This approach was successful, and many participants indicated that the online process was easy to follow. We will continue to utilize this approach for 2021.

The online benefits application—available at https://my.benefitsaccess.org—customizes applications for benefits so that retirees are presented only with information that is pertinent to their unique situations. Retirees may contact the Retirement Team to request printed forms.

An updated retirement video, designed to provide an overview of the online application process, will be available to retirees in early February. The link to this video will be provided in an eblast sent to retirees after the video is completed.

If your conference is holding meetings or workshops to help retirees complete their applications for benefits, we suggest that participants register for Benefits Access in advance of the meeting so that they may access their online applications during these events.

Conference Forum and HealthFlex Mini-Summit

Thursdays in March!

Wespath will be hosting four virtual mini-meetings on Thursday afternoons in March. The meetings will be held each Thursday from 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Central time. Each week will focus on a different set of topics, with the 4th Thursday (March 25) featuring a HealthFlex Mini-Summit. Recordings of each session will be available if you are unable to attend.

Virtual Clergy Event: Wespath Benefits and Investments "Delivered to You"

Registration Closes Sunday at 11:00 p.m. CST.

The "Delivered to You" virtual event will bring education and five dimensions of well-being to all active clergy in their workplace/home space on Monday and Tuesday, February 8-9, 2021. The event is two half days—in the afternoon and will provide educational information that will inspire and encourage clergy of all ages and stages in ministry to make informed decisions related to life’s transitions. We are excited about this virtual event and hope you will send out a “last call” promotion within your conference. We are grateful for your partnership in this adventure and for your ongoing support.

To Register. The registration fee is $49.00. The fee offsets the cost of an event Care Package that will be delivered to each attendee who is registered in advance, to help them participate fully and enjoy the event more.
