Disaffiliation Information—Updates to Wespath.org Website
In an effort to clearly distinguish information for churches and clergy discerning disaffiliation from The United Methodist Church from information pertinent to those remaining with the UMC, we've removed the "Disaffiliation Information" link previously on Wespath's General Conference 2020 webpage.
All the disaffiliation information remains available, including FAQs, videos and more. You can reach the Disaffiliation Information webpage from the Wespath.org home page (look for the "Disaffiliation Information" box) or through a direct link: https://www.wespath.org/about-wespath/wayforwardwespathfaq.
Wespath's General Conference webpage page now focuses exclusively on legislation submitted to the UMC General Conference.
Participant Communications
Last week we sent a postcard to active participants who did not contribute to UMPIP in 2022. The postcard message encourages them to begin or resume contributing and highlights EY Financial Planning Services as a resource to help with decision-making. It also points participants to the location of contribution election forms on wespath.org.
