Blog Update: "Should Investors Be Worried About the Debt Ceiling Debate?"

In light of U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen announcing that the government could reach its borrowing limits by June 1, Wespath's Joe Halwax provided an update to his blog post on the U.S. debt ceiling. He indicates that history may soon repeat itself, reminding investors that the U.S. experienced similar procrastination surrounding the debt ceiling in 2011. That year, a legislative agreement was reached shortly before the deadline.

The 2023 Annual Conference toolkit is now available. The online toolkit includes links to downloadable retirement, health and well-being, and investment resources for use during your Annual Conference session. You can also order hard copies of the toolkit materials, including celebratory pins for retirees (please allow up to two weeks for delivery).
