New Investment Insights Blog: Exploring the Private Credit Market in 2023

Wespath offers seven fixed income funds in our P Series, and many of our participants are invested in at least one of them. As participants near retirement, they may be increasing their allocations to lower-risk investments like bonds. However, the bond market has been quite volatile in recent years. Many investors are understandably re-evaluating their approach to bonds right now, weighing both their risks and their opportunities.

The second blog in our three-part series on the state of fixed income investments highlights opportunities in private credit. Wespath has invested in private credit since 2010, and the Fixed Income Fund – P Series currently includes exposure to private credit. This blog explains the rise of private credit and details why we feel private credit benefits our funds.

Wespath Receives Matching Grant for Clergy Financial Well-Being Initiative

Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, Wespath has successfully raised $250,000 that will be matched with a $250,000 grant from the Lilly Endowment Inc. for Wespath’s Clergy Financial Well-Being Initiative. This initiative has already begun funding well-being efforts focused on post-pandemic recovery for clergy of color, including programing dedicated to self-care and wellness to mitigate burnout, expanding emergency financial assistance for clergy, and providing financial backing for wellness retreats across the U.S.

Learn more about the grant and the Initiative in our recent press release.
