Annual Conference Planning Underway? Reach Out to Wespath!

At their November meeting, the Council of Bishops unanimously approved including Wespath for a Compass presentation and discussion time on all 2025 Annual Conference agendas in Spring 2025. Wespath is recommending that 20 minutes during the plenary session and 30 minutes at the clergy session be designated for Wespath to focus on Compass so that all clergy are well-informed and confident for the new clergy retirement plan launch on January 1, 2026. To that end, we're asking you to connect us with the individual in charge of coordinating the Annual Conference agenda by speaking with your Wespath Client Relationship Manager (CRM) so that we can align with the logistical details. Reminder to Update Benefits Access

A reminder that timely updates to Benefits Access for all participant-related changes effective January 1, 2025, are very important. This data is used for actuarial valuations performed in 2025 for 2027 contributions, so it is critical that your participant data—especially 2025 compensation and appointment percentages—is accurate and up to date.

• The January 1, 2025, compensation entered in Benefits Access impacts the 2027 Denominational Average Compensation (DAC); therefore, if this data is not current, the DAC will not be accurate.
• Updates to appointment percentages for January 1, 2025, impact the 2025 actuarial liabilities and the resulting 2027 contributions.
• To ensure January billing (CRSP, CPP and UMPIP) is accurate, please update 2025 compensation no later than January 8, 2025.

Holiday Closing: Christmas and New Year's

Wespath will close at 3:00 p.m., Central time, on Tuesday, December 24, and will remain closed through Wednesday, December 25, in observance of the Christmas holiday.

Wespath will be closed on Wednesday, January 1, 2025, in observance of the New Year's holiday.

Customer Service assistance will be unavailable during these times.

Systems Outage for Maintenance

Wespath Portal, Benefits Access (participant and plan sponsor portals), Contribution Management, Wespath Institutional Investor Portal and the Comprehensive Benefit Funding Plan will be unavailable from Tuesday, December 31 at 6:00 p.m. until Wednesday, January 1 at 6:00 p.m., Central Time, to allow for system maintenance and updates. We apologize for any inconvenience this brief outage may cause.

OBX Returns January 2, 2025

Due to the upcoming holidays, the OBX elves will be otherwise occupied. The next issue will be emailed on Thursday, January 2, 2025.
