Virgin HealthMiles Rebranding—Participant Announcement September 18

On September 18, Virgin HealthMiles will send this e-mail to enrolled participants announcing the company’s rebranding: Virgin HealthMiles is becoming Virgin Pulse.

The rebranding involves a new name and logo for the walking program and a new look on Virgin’s website and promotional materials, starting October 1. There will be no changes to participants’ activity rewards program. HealthFlex and the Center for Health remain committed to continuing the wellness programming that Virgin HealthMiles has provided for years, and look forward to new opportunities to promote holistic wellness through the company’s decision to rebrand.

We will keep plan sponsors informed as Virgin continues its rebranding.

Weight Watchers Program Changes

Weight Watchers is making two changes to their administrative processes, effective immediately:

In order to receive HealthFlex’s discounted pricing when purchasing Weight Watchers vouchers or subscriptions, participants will need to provide the nine-digit ID number from their medical ID card provided by UnitedHealthcare or Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois.
The “Easy Pay Plan” is no longer available. Participants will be asked to pay the full cost of the 13- or 18-week Weight Watchers series upfront.
