Participant Communications—Well-Being Programs

2018 Well-Being Incentives

The 2018 Well-Being Incentives brochure will be mailed this week to all HealthFlex participants. This year’s well-being incentives are very similar to the 2017 program, with several new opportunities for participants to earn Wellness Points via Benefits Access and NutriSavings activities.

NutriSavings Introduction

The 2018 Well-Being Incentives brochure also introduces the new NutriSavings program, which offers participants customized tips for “better-for-you” grocery shopping, recipes and more. Additional NutriSavings communications are available on the Wespath extranet under HealthFlex Tools & Resources, (“January 2018” Communication Toolkit). Plan administrators can access the Wespath extranet through the Wespath Portal. Please note: Additional NutriSavings materials are in development, so check the extranet periodically for more NutriSavings materials that can be used in your communications to participants.

Blueprint for Wellness

The following materials are currently available to promote 2018 Blueprint for Wellness biometric screenings to participants:

• New: Social media post—Use this piece on your conference webpage, social media pages or in an e-mail to participants
• E-mail/handout for on-site event

Additional Blueprint for Wellness materials will be available soon on the Wespath extranet. Plan administrators can access the Wespath extranet through the Wespath Portal.

New Senior Managing Director, Benefit Plans—Martin Bauer

We are pleased to announce that Martin Bauer has joined Wespath as Senior Managing Director, Benefit Plans. In this role, Martin will lead the newly established Benefit Plans Department. This new collaborative department now includes: Retirement Services, Center for Health, Benefits Education and Actuarial Services. The new team will have continued focus on benefits and will be charged with an integrated user-friendly participant experience.

Martin has an extensive career as a pension and benefits leader, with deep technical and leadership experience. Most recently, Martin served as Senior Vice President and Global Brokerage Business Leader with Aon Hewitt. He can be reached at mbauer@wespath.org or at 1-800-269-2244, ext. 4572.
