COVID-19 Updates

Wespath staff administering HealthFlex are continually communicating with our vendors to gather information on how to best serve our participants through the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak. We have compiled the following timely information regarding HealthFlex health and well-being programs and services. The Health and Wellness Team (formerly Health Team) is available to help you with any of the following concerns. Timely updates will be available on our website at Wespath.org.

COVID-19 tests will be covered at 100% by both Blue Cross Blue Shield and UnitedHealthcare.
The CDC recommends that you call your provider before seeking in-person services. See also the telemedicine information below.

Early prescription drug refills will be allowed through OptumRx.
OptumRx will allow HealthFlex participants an early refill of prescription medications if there are refills remaining on file at a participating retail or mail-order pharmacy. Participants should contact their provider if there are no refills remaining. The refill obtained will stay consistent with the standard supply previously filled (e.g., 30- or 90-day supply).

Costs for telemedicine provider MDLIVE will be waived until mid-June.
Telemedicine is an important tool to assess symptoms and determine if in-person care or testing is needed. MDLIVE is available 24/7 at 1-888-750-4991 or visit MDLIVE.com/wespath. We recommend you register now so you can quickly access the service if you need it in the future. If you have already registered, you will be asked to sign in. Please note there may be longer than average wait times.

HealthFlex also offers no-cost Nurselines for all HealthFlex participants, which can be helpful in assessing symptoms and determining if you need to contact your local provider:

Emotional health resources are available.
The Optum Public Crisis Line 1-866-342-6892, is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week free of charge to anyone—including those not covered by HealthFlex. Caring professionals are available to provide assistance and resources.

As always, HealthFlex offers up to 8 visits of virtual EAP counseling at no cost to participants and covered dependents. Dedicated representatives are available if someone is feeling anxious or stressed. 1-866-881-6800. Optum Coronavirus resource page (enter access code HealthFlex if requested):

Participants may report changes to Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account (FSA) needs.
If dependent care needs have changed such that a participant believes they will no longer spend the full election and/or additional funds are needed for dependent care, the Health and Wellness Team can work with you to determine whether individuals may qualify for a life event and be able to update elections. Changes can only be made prospectively and cannot reduce the annual election to an amount less than already contributed.

Weight Watchers (WW) workshops will be held virtually.
All Weight Watchers (WW) workshops will transition to virtual workshops. Members will be contacted directly.

Blueprint for Wellness screening rescheduling
Wespath will pause promotion of Blueprint for Wellness screenings at this time. We have been working with Quest to reschedule the earliest plan sponsor events, and will work with plan sponsors scheduled after April as appropriate. If your event is in June or later, we are asking for your patience as we accommodate the needs for events scheduled in the next 4-6 weeks. We are exploring extending the incentive deadline for 2020 to allow more individuals to complete BFW in the summer and fall as well as outreaching to individuals scheduled for service center appointments in the next several weeks to encourage them to reschedule.
