More Changes Possibly Coming to FSAs

Wespath is exploring what it would take to implement the higher dependent care FSA limit ($10,500) in 2021 allowed by the American Rescue Plan Act and we will provide additional information as soon as we are able.

Participant Communications: Tuesday is a Holiday Worth Observing

With National Puppy Day and National Chip and Dip Day occurring on March 23, it is understandable if people forgot that it is also Diabetes Alert Day. While it might not elicit a smile like those other holidays, Diabetes Alert Day shouldn't be ignored because 90% of people with prediabetes don't know they have it.

To raise awareness of diabetes and prediabetes, Omada will e-mail participants on March 23 and encourage them to take a 1-minute survey to assess their risk of type 2 diabetes.

The news is not all grim. People can prevent or delay the onset of type 2 diabetes by moving more, eating better, and striving for a healthy weight. HealthFlex participants and spouses (if covered by HealthFlex) who are at risk of type 2 diabetes have a free resource as well. Individuals can take part in Omada's online program, which is designed to inspire healthy habits, at no cost as long as they meet Omada's participation criteria.

HealthFlex Summit Agenda

Just a reminder, the HealthFlex Mini-Summit is set to take place on March 25 from 1:00 to 4:30 p.m. Central time. The tentative schedule for the event is as follows:

If you have registered, you will receive a confirmation e-mail from Wespath Meetings and Events on March 23 and again on March 25. Both e-mails will include an event link.
