Help us Spread the Word About Health Check, Blueprint for Wellness®

In the coming weeks and months, you will notice an uptick in participant communications that encourage people to complete the Health Check and Blueprint for Wellness ahead of the August 31 deadline. However, we cannot do it alone. Our campaign will be most successful if you also raise awareness of the well-being programs.

We have tried to make it easy for you to assist by creating information you can share with your participants via e-mail and social media. Links to the e-mail attachments follow:

We also invite you to share and retweet the following posts from your social media accounts to promote both well-being programs:

These resources are compiled on the extranet as a toolkit. To find them, log into the extranet and click the "HealthFlex Tools & Resources" link across the top. Then select "Communication Toolkits."

Clarification: How the Health Check Affects the H3000 Family Plan

It would have been easy to overlook, but both Health Check e-mail attachments in the toolkit have a new disclaimer.

While we were happy we could lower the out-of-pocket maximum for the H3000 plan beginning this year, the change would benefit from an adjustment to the "higher deductible" version of H3000 family plan for those who did not complete the Health Check. This adjustment ensures that there is a financial incentive for participants and spouses in the H3000 plan to complete the Health Check.

Households with family coverage in the H3000 plan in 2022 who do not complete Health Check in 2021 will have their deductible and individual out-of-pocket maximum increased by $500 so the deductible does not exceed the individual out-of-pocket max.

Increasing the out-of-pocket maximum, not just the deductible, only applies to the H3000 family "higher deductible plan" beginning in 2022.

HealthFlex will Submit PCORI Fee for Those in Plan

The Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) fee for 2020 plans is due August 2, 2021. HealthFlex will submit the fee for those in the HealthFlex plan.

We will provide reporting to support plan sponsors who had Via Benefits HRAs in 2020 so they can submit the fee and IRS Form 720 by the due date.

Participant Communication: Postcard Reminder About HealthFlex/WebMD

We are mailing a postcard this week to participants who have not registered for Benefits Access. The postcard informs them the HealthFlex/WebMD website will shut down on June 1 and they should create a Benefits Access account to engage with their health and well-being programs.

Participant Communication: Virgin Pulse® Coaches to Reach Out

Participants who utilized WebMD health coaching in the past are scheduled to receive a call from a Virgin Pulse coach in the coming weeks and be asked if they would like to schedule a coaching session. Health coaching with Virgin Pulse is a great way for participants to work toward their goals and earn Wellness Credits in the process. The calls will come from 1-800-443-9164.
