HealthFlex Hack: Find the Right Mental Health Resource

To remove some of the obstacles to receiving mental health assistance, we created an interactive guide for participants who aren’t sure which mental health resource they should use. Based on their answers to a few simple questions, participants will be directed to the resource or resources that match their preferences. The interactive guide works best on computers.

We introduced the interactive guide in our Mental Health Awareness Month e-mail on May 19 and we plan to share it in many more communications vehicles and places in the coming weeks and months. However, we know that this interactive guide will help the most participants if you assist us with promotions. Anything you can do to raise awareness of the guide is greatly appreciated.

To begin with, we encourage you to retweet and share our posts about the interactive guide on Twitter and Facebook.

HealthFlex Hack: How to Earn Pulse Cash Incentives

The Mental Health Awareness Month e-mail highlighted another new participant tool: A resource guide that lists the programs that can both aid participants’ emotional well-being and help them earn Pulse Cash. The resource guide also explains how to earn Pulse Cash if participants are focusing on physical activity, improving sleep, improving diet or living with chronic conditions.

In addition, Virgin Pulse® created a two-page, printer-friendly version of the resource guide.

Just like the interactive guide for mental health resources, we hope you will partner with us in promoting this resource guide to your participants. Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

Be on the Lookout for Adoption Agreements

Wespath will e-mail pre-populated Adoption Agreement exhibits next week, and they are due June 30. Plan sponsors can reach out to Bob Gerlach at rgerlach@wespath.org with questions about updating their premium credit or updating their default plan.

We encourage all plan sponsors to consider a default other than the B1000. As we have previously shared, multi-year comparisons of actual participant expenses across each plan type have demonstrated that the B1000 is the lowest net-cost plan for less than 1% of all HealthFlex participants.

Update on First Aid for Mental Health Champions Training

We are excited to share that over 200 people completed the First Aid for Mental Health post-webinar survey and expressed interest in the First Aid for Mental Health Champions Training. We e-mailed those individuals May 16 to notify them that we will share their interest with their conference office or benefits department. The e-mail also stated, “If you are selected for this program, you will be contacted about your participation.” Stay tuned for more information next week on selecting your champions.
