All the Annual Election (AE) Material, All in One Place

In recent editions of the HealthFlex Express we have promoted several AE resources that are designed for you to share with your participants. You can find all of them in one spot on the Extranet (which can be accessed through the Wespath Portal).

After you log into the Extranet, click on "HealthFlex and Virgin Pulse Tools & Resources." The annual election toolkit, social media posts promoting the new AE informational website, several ALEX® toolkit pieces, the plan comparisons handouts, HealthFlex videos and more can be found at the top of the page.

Just a reminder, AE begins November 2 and runs through November 17.

Handouts Updated with new Flexible Spending Account (FSA) Limits

The English, Spanish and Korean versions of the plan comparison guide and “How Do I Choose?” brochure have been updated to reflect the new FSA limits.

The IRS announced earlier this month that it has raised the maximum contribution limit for a health care FSA to $3,050 in 2023 and the maximum carryover amount from 2023 to 2024 to $610.

The updated resources can be found on the informational AE website, the Extranet and at the links below:

AE Status Reports Coming Soon

We plan to provide plan sponsors with AE status reports on November 7 and November 14 that show which participants have made elections and a breakdown of which plans people have enrolled in for 2023. On December 5, after all election audits have been completed and manual forms have been processed, we will provide plan sponsors with the final AE report. The final AE report will contain the 2023 elections that will be sent to the carriers.

Participant Communication: AE Postcard

We have attempted to simplify our messaging about AE this year, and to that end we sent a postcard to HealthFlex participants reminding them about AE instead of a letter like we have done in years past. The postcards should have arrived in homes last week.

There were four versions of the postcard (see links below), but they all encouraged participants to 1) Go to the informational AE website, 2) Use ALEX to receive personalized recommendations and 3) Make elections between November 2-17.
