Help Us Promote the Health Check, Blueprint for Wellness®
The August 31 deadline to complete the Health Check and Blueprint for Wellness (BFW) is fast approaching, and we need your help to encourage your participants to participate. As a reminder, HealthFlex participants (and spouses, if covered) both need to complete the Health Check to avoid a $250-$500 higher deductible in 2024. Participants can also earn $100 and up to 140 Wellness Credits for completing the BFW by the August 31 deadline.
We recently recorded a short video available on YouTube on how to complete the Health Check, and there are lots of helpful resources for the Health Check and BFW on the Extranet that you can share as well – log into the Wespath Portal to access the Extranet and click on "HealthFlex and Virgin Pulse Tools & Resources." Participants who have not completed either Health Check or BFW have also been receiving e-mail reminders and a letter in the mail to encourage completion.
In the next few weeks, we will also be sending you the Blueprint for Wellness and Health Check completion file so you can target the reminders to individuals who have not earned their full incentives.
2023 Clergy Well-Being Survey Results
Late last month, Wespath unveiled the findings of its seventh biennial Clergy Well-being Survey, offering important insights into the current state of clergy across the five dimensions of well-being: physical, spiritual, social, emotional and financial.
Over 1,200 clergy representing a wide range of demographics participated in this year’s survey, revealing both positive and concerning changes since the 2021 survey and helping Wespath identify trends over the past decade since the survey’s launch in 2012.

The insights that clergy provide through this survey help shape future Wespath programs and initiatives. The survey can also be used to help United Methodist congregations and the larger connection to understand how they can support their clergy.
Save the Dates: In-person HealthFlex Summit is October 10-11
The e-mail message listed incorrect dates for the HealthFlex Summit. October 10-11 are correct.
We are excited to announce this year’s annual HealthFlex Summit! It is scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m., Central time, on Tuesday, October 10, and end by noon, Central time, on Wednesday, October 11. The Summit will be held at Wespath’s office in Glenview, Illinois. Please mark your calendars. More details will be provided soon.
Save the Dates: Annual Election is November 1-16
Annual Election for 2024 will take place from November 1-16 and provide HealthFlex participants the opportunity to select 2024 HealthFlex benefits, change who they cover and elect HSA and FSA contributions for 2024.
Much more information will be shared about Annual Election in the coming weeks and months.
