Important Tax Withholding Information Postcard

Wespath will mail a postcard to participants and estates currently receiving benefit payments from Wespath-administered plans. The postcard directs recipients to obtain a W-4P form from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) website and submit it to Wespath if they would like to modify their withholding elections. The link to the form is also available on Wespath’s website.

The IRS typically releases the W-4P form and the tax withholding table for the next year by the end of the current year. The link to the W4-P form updates automatically.

If participants would like to update withholding elections before the new form is available, Wespath will accept changes using the 2017 version.

The postcard also includes information for Puerto Rico resident payees receiving payments from a Puerto Rico plan, and nonresident aliens.
