Retirement Status Update

Wespath aims to keep annual conferences appraised of retirees' status throughout retirement season. As of May 1, there are 961 individuals across 53 conferences that have indicated to conference staff their intention to retire (ITR) in July 2020. Wespath has mailed a standard retirement kit as outlined in the February 5 On Board Express to all of these individuals, and 80% are registered for Benefits Access.

We have received completed applications from 311 ITRs, of which 89% (276) completed their elections online. We thank you for your support in encouraging retirees to utilize this more efficient online process.

Reminder letters or e-mails will be sent this week by mail or e-mail to those who have not yet completed an application for benefits. If there are still outstanding applications in June, the Retirement Team will call retirees to remind them about the application deadlines and offer help with their applications.
