Wespath's New General Secretary: Andy Hendren

Andy Hendren officially became Wespath's new general secretary/CEO on January 3, 2022—succeeding Barbara Boigegrain who retired at yearend after 27 years in the GS/CEO role. Andy has served Wespath since 2004—most recently as chief legal and governance officer. He has strong relationships across The United Methodist Church and other faith-based, regulatory and secular business environments.

Wespath's New Lead for Legal Questions: Sheila Henretta

Effective January 3, 2022, Sheila Saegh Henretta assumed the position of chief legal officer and joined Wespath's Senior Leadership Team. Conference benefits officers, treasurers and chancellors who previously contacted Andy Hendren with questions should now direct inquiries to Sheila at shenretta@wespath.org or Sheila's direct reports: associate general counsels Steve Clark (sclark@wespath.org) and Sarah Krause (skrause@wespath.org).

Wespath's New Chief IT Officer: Bryan Mjaanes

Effective January 3, 2022, Bryan Mjaanes joined Wespath as chief information and technology officer and a member of Wespath's Senior Leadership Team. Conference officers who previously contacted Eileen Kane (chief financial and strategy officer) with technology/systems questions may now contact Bryan at bmjaanes@wespath.org instead.

Bryan oversees Wespath's information technology and governance including application development, systems analysis, infrastructure, security and service delivery. He brings strong technical, leadership and project management skills to this new role and has extensive experience leading complicated IT and business initiatives. He also is a Certified Scrum Master.

CBA/revitup! In-Person Events Cancelled

Due to our ongoing concern for the health and safety of those who serve, the Clergy Benefits Academy (CBA) and revitup! in-person events planned for late March have been cancelled. Wespath will host a virtual Delivered to You event on April 25-26 and will communicate details and registration information shortly.
