HealthQuotient (HQ) Postcard for Participants—This Week
This year’s HealthQuotient (HQ) promotion begins Friday, August 1. A postcard promoting HQ will be mailed this week to participants and spouses currently in HealthFlex active plans [PPO or consumer-driven health plan (CDHP)].
Participants and covered spouses must complete the HQ between August 1 and September 30, 2014 to avoid paying a higher medical plan deductible in 2015—$250 higher (individual deductible) or $500 higher (family deductible with covered spouse in active plan).
For households with both a primary participant and spouse in a HealthFlex active plan, both covered individuals must take the HQ during the incentive timeframe to avoid the higher deductible.
A reminder postcard will be mailed in September to those who have not taken the HQ to date. Additional HQ reminders will be provided through Evive Health with preventive or chronic disease management reminders sent to participants in August or September. Targeted e-mails also will be sent via WebMD and Virgin Pulse.
Plan sponsors can also use materials in the July 2014 Communications Toolkit to further encourage their participants to take the HQ. Toolkit materials are available on the General Board’s extranet (username: extranet; password: gbop!123).

August HealthFlex Invoices Timing
