HealthFlex/WebMD Site Shutting Down June 1

HealthFlex participants and spouses will no longer have access to the HealthFlex/WebMD website beginning on June 1, as was first stated during the HealthFlex Mini-Summit.

We will notify primary participants that the site is shutting down on June 1 in an e-mail that will be sent out from May 4-7. We will encourage primary participants to register for Benefits Access and Virgin Pulse® to access all their health and well-being information in the same e-mail. We will encourage spouses to register for Virgin Pulse to access well-being and benefits information.

The e-mail will include a link to a list of FAQs to assist participants with this transition.

If you receive any questions from participants, here is a list of talking points to address the inquiries we anticipate you might receive.

Help Wanted: Please Join us in Raising Awareness of Mental Health

To coincide with Mental Health Awareness Month in May, Wespath is embarking on a campaign to raise awareness of the well-being programs and resources that can assist our participants who are coping with mental or behavioral health stressors or conditions.

We invite you to join us in this important cause by sharing one or more of the following documents with your members:

All of these resources are compiled on the Extranet in a toolkit for easy access at any point in the future. For additional resources, visit https://www.wespath.org/health-well-being/health-well-being-resources/emotional-well-being.

Throughout the month of May we also have planned a robust social media campaign on our Facebook and Twitter accounts to highlight many of the same resources. The posts will include the hashtag #ShineALightUMC. We invite you to join us by sharing and retweeting those posts to raise awareness and shine a light on mental health.

If There's a Whil, There's a Way to Help Reduce Stress

Wespath is introducing a new tool called Whil to help individuals reduce stress.

Available for free through the Virgin Pulse website and app, Whil can be used by individuals enrolled in the Virgin Pulse Physical Activity Program either through HealthFlex or directly through their annual conference.

Whil provides guided video and audio sessions to help people relax. Whil offers basic training in mindfulness, yoga and emotional intelligence.

As a bonus, individuals who use Whil earn Virgin Pulse Points just like they do when they track their healthy habits and steps. Here is the points breakdown:

Whil is set to launch May 4 and it will be located in Virgin Pulse's Benefits tab.

Individuals will see an introductory announcement when they log in to Virgin Pulse after the launch. Virgin Pulse also is scheduled to e-mail individuals with information about Whil on May 10.
