Save the Date: Two Plan Sponsor Calls in April
Wespath will hold two video calls with plan sponsors in April to discuss health and well-being updates. The content will be the same on each call, so we encourage you to block off one of the following times on your calendar:
- April 20 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Central time or
- April 21 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., Central time
We hope you can join us for one of the calls. Stay tuned for more information about the agenda and how to join the calls.
A second set of plan sponsor calls about retirement plans and LifeStage Retirement Income is planned for May. Be on the lookout for more information in an upcoming On Board Express.
Premium Credit Modeling for 2023 is Available
If you need help modeling a new premium credit based off of your 2023 HealthFlex rates, please contact Bob Gerlach at rgerlach@wespath.org or Nicole Valentino at nvalentino@wespath.org. The modeling can help plan sponsors identify the participant and church impact of different premium credit amounts for 2023. Final 2023 premium credits are documented on Exhibit B, due June 30, 2022.
First Aid for Mental Health Next Steps
Thank you to everyone who helped us promote the first aid training for mental health. We had 2,292 people attend Session 1 and 1,693 people attended Session 2. We would not have had that level of engagement without your assistance.
To build on the success of the first two webinars, we will soon offer in-depth workshops for First Aid for Mental Health champions to learn and practice the skills highlighted in the webinars. Our hope is to have one or two champions in each conference who complete one, six-hour virtual training session.
We will reach out to each conference to help identify good candidates for this program. Champions do not need to be clergy, but they should be passionate about creating an environment supportive of emotional well-being for clergy and all.
Participant Communications Roundup
Here's a quick summary of recent and upcoming participant communications:
In conjunction with National Nutrition Month in March, Omada sent a nutrition-themed e-mail to individuals on March 16 that encouraged them to enroll in the Diabetes Prevention Program. In response to the e-mail, 17 people applied for the program and 16 people were accepted.
On March 29 we will e-mail a survey to everyone who registered to attend at least one First Aid for Mental Health session.
All primary participants will receive an e-mail on March 31 that encourages them to complete the Health Check. There will be multiple versions of this e-mail because we are trying to determine the best way to talk about the health benefits of the Health Check with participants.
Just a reminder, we also encourage you to promote the Health Check and we have resources to help. Just log into the Extranet (User name: extranet; Password: gbop!123). Click on the "HealthFlex and Virgin Pulse Tools & Resources" link at the top. Then scroll down to Health Check to find PDFs you can attach to e-mails. Another option is to share a video that explains how to complete the Health Check on the Virgin Pulse® app.
- We expect Omada to send the first e-mail introducing our diabetes management program in May. The e-mail will be sent to individuals who previously applied for the Diabetes Prevention Program but were not eligible for that program because they had diabetes.
Calling All Social Media Managers
Kelly Donlea, Wespath's Social Media Manager, is compiling a directory of social media managers for HealthFlex plan sponsors. Please encourage the person who runs your social media accounts to send Kelly a message via Wespath's Facebook account to connect and share ideas.
We also encourage all social media managers to share and retweet our recent Facebook and Twitter posts that explain how to register for the Blueprint for Wellness®.
