Marketing Help Requested. No Experience Required.

We are scheduled to send a personalized e-mail later this week to HealthFlex primary participants if they or their covered spouse, if applicable, have not completed the Health Check and Blueprint for Wellness®.

While we do our best to communicate about these valuable screenings, we know we won’t be successful without your help promoting them. If you have a moment, we encourage you to share this eye-catching social media post.

If you would like to use the alarm image for your own social media post about the two HealthFlex well-being programs, click here to download it.

Additional Health Check and Blueprint for Wellness social media posts, e-mail attachments and videos that are designed for you to share with your participants are available on the Extranet (User name: extranet; Password: gbop!123). After you log in, click the link for "HealthFlex and Virgin Pulse Tools & Resources."

The personalized e-mails we are sending out later this week are intended to remind participants about the financial incentives and the deadline.

Primary participants will be reminded that they will not be subject to a higher deductible if they complete the Health Check. If a spouse is covered, both the primary participant and spouse must take the Health Check for their household to avoid the higher deductible. In addition, the primary participant and covered spouse will each earn $100 Pulse Cash if they complete the Blueprint for Wellness.

The deadline for the Health Check and Blueprint for Wellness is August 31.

The personalized e-mails capture Health Check completions as of June 21 and Blueprint for Wellness completions as of June 20, so more recent completions will not be reflected.

Spots Available for July 20 First Aid for Mental Health Champions Training

Registration is still open for the virtual First Aid for Mental Health (FAFMH) Champions Training on July 20 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Central time.

If you have not already, we encourage you to select two FAFMH champions from your conference to attend the training at no cost.

Up to 12 people can attend the training and we will accept participants on a first come, first serve basis. The registration deadline is July 13. We will schedule additional dates throughout the year for those FAFMH champions who are not able to attend on July 20.

Please send your FAFMH champion information to Jodi Benacka at jbenacka@wespath.org. We ask that you include each person’s first name, last name and e-mail address, and indicate if the individual would like to attend the July 20 training or a future session.

Who is eligible to be a FAFMH champion?

To be considered for the Champions Training, an individual must have attended or watched both First Aid for Mental Aid webinars. First Aid for Mental Health champions will play a critical role for annual conferences, so it is important that they not only attend the training but also seek to put the learning to use.

As noted on the FAFMH webpage, wespath.org/r/firstaidmh, the following are qualities expected of all champions:

How to select your FAFMH champions

Jodi sent an e-mail to plan sponsors on June 2 with information about FAFMH Champions Training and it included a list of individuals who expressed interest in completing the training. You are not required to select these individuals as your champions, nor are you required to make the decision. If you have a trusted advisor who can assist you in making the selection, we encourage you to seek that person’s guidance.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to Jodi.

Reminder: Adoption Agreements Due June 30

Just a friendly reminder: Please return your HealthFlex Adoption Agreement Exhibits by June 30. If you have questions about updating your premium credit, updating your default plan or anything else, please contact Bob Gerlach at rgerlach@wespath.org.

As stated in a previous HealthFlex Express, we encourage all plan sponsors to consider a default other than the B1000. As we have previously shared, multi-year comparisons of actual participant expenses across each plan type have demonstrated that the B1000 is the lowest net-cost plan for less than 1% of all HealthFlex participants.

Save the Dates: In-person HealthFlex Summit is October 13-14

We are excited to announce the return of an in-person HealthFlex Summit! It is scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m., Central time, on October 13, and end by noon, Central time, on October 14. The Summit will be held at Wespath’s office in Glenview, Illinois. Please mark your calendars. More details will be provided soon.

Save the Dates: Annual Election is November 2-17

Annual Election will take place from November 2-17 and provide HealthFlex participants the opportunity to select 2023 HealthFlex benefits, change who they cover and elect health account contributions.

Much more information will be shared about Annual Election in the coming weeks and months.
